Fulco Blokhuis (1975) was admitted to the Amsterdam bar in 2002. He started his career at Nolen Van der List, in the team lead by Matthijs Kaaks. Fulco moved to Boekx in February 2006, where he became a partner in 2010. He specializes in media law and intellectual property, with a particular focus on copyright law and domain name disputes. He also frequently litigates to defend the freedom of speech of authors and newspapers.

His clients are, inter alia, authors, publishers, motion picture producers, format developers, photographers, syndication companies, musicians and studio producers.

Besides his daily legal practice, Fulco writes a monthly legal editorial for the magazine of the Dutch Assiocation of New Film and TV Makers. He wrote various opinion articles in nationwide newspapers. He is also a member of the editorial board that runs the popular Dutch IP weblog Boek9.nl, which publishes the latest news in the world of IP on a daily basis. Dutch case law translated into English is published on Book9.nl. Fulco regularly gives lectures about his various areas of expertise to industry associations in the field of journalism, media and communications.

He is a member of the Dutch Copyright Association and the Dutch Advertising Law Association.
